Our monthly meeting will take place on Monday, June 16, starting at 6:30 p.m. with the Consulting Rosarian’s Corner with Beth Van Boxtel, refreshments and the Little Rose Show. Exhibitors in the Little Rose Show can begin to stage their blooms at 6:00 p.m.

Everyone please feel free to bring your blooms to exhibit. Experienced exhibitors will be available to help stage your blooms. The raffle table will be open for donated garden items. Raffle winners will be announced at the end of the meeting. Please bring a refreshment to share. Our program’s speaker will begin after 7:00 p.m.

We are honored to have Suzanne Horn as our speaker at this month’s meeting. Suzanne is a very successful rose exhibitor, dynamic speaker, writer, Master Rosarian and horticultural judge. She was the 2023 Guy Blake Hendrick Jr. Award winner, the 2023 Silver Honor Medal winner for the Pacific Southwest District and was the 2014 Outstanding Consulting Rosarian for the Pacific Southwest District to name a few of her honors. Suzanne has written many articles for the American Rose Society and her local Pacific Rose Society where she is the current Vice President. Suzanne grows 435 exhibition roses of all types all in containers at her home in Glendale. Come hear this gem of a presenter, Suzanne, share her enthusiasm, expertise and hundreds of beautiful photographs in her program “Success with Roses in Containers”

Please welcome Suzanne as she travels all the way from Glendale to share her knowledge of roses with us. This program will give the reluctant container rose gardener the courage to pot a rose and the patio container rose gardener the freedom to enjoy roses every day.

There will be a Little Rose Show and an Auction of roses.

Directions to Casa del Prado, Room 101: The Casa del Prado building is immediately west of the Natural History Museum. Entrances to the Casa del Prado lead to an inner court. The rooms are accessible from the court. Room 101 is downstairs on the east end of the court.
