Annual membership in the San Diego Rose Society starts at $20 per year (January to December). That small investment will mean more abundant blooms that are bigger and better than ever.

Here’s what you get with your annual membership:
1) The award-winning San Diego Rose Society newsletter via email! The American Rose Society has long recognized our newsletter “Rose Ramblings” as one of the best local society bulletin in the United States. Rose Ramblings provides 20+ pages full of the best rose-growing advice, news, and event info available for San Diego. Articles include the basic care, Q&A from “Consulting Rosarians” (experts certified by the American Rose Society), news coverage of events (rose shows, exhibits at the San Diego County Fair, and the regional calendar of events).
2) Meetings with rose experts and novices! We meet every month (except July and August) in Balboa Park to hear the latest news and tips from rose experts who know our climate and roses. We also have potluck gatherings prior to SDRS meetings twice a year
3) Participation in the SDRS Little Rose Shows to display and learn more about how to show your roses in the San Diego County Fair and the annual SDRS Rose Show in May.
4) Raffle tickets at the meetings. Each member will receive a raffle ticket at the meeting to enter to win various prizes. Some of the prizes in the past include: roses, fertilizer, other flowers/bulbs and fruit/veggies, books, tees, and gardening tools.
5) Access to our premier annual fertilizer sale in December. We offer some of the best rose fertilizer available to rose growers in San Diego. Most of these fertilizers are available at a discount to members, and some items are not available in stores or online. We also provide you with a helpful calendar for using the fertilizers to grow award-winning roses.
6) Help from some of the expert consulting rosarians. They are here to help you grow your best roses! Consulting rosarians go through training and exams to complete their certification every four years. Contact them for questions and concerns, and meet them in-person at our Balboa Park meetings!
7) Free rose pruning demonstration at the Balboa Park Rose Garden the second Saturday in January.

For all the benefits of membership we enjoy, please think about raising the level of your membership so we can feel comfortable with our financial situation. Your membership funds support the educational guest speakers, the Balboa Park Rose Garden, and the operations and supplies of the San Diego Rose Society.
