How to Exhibit Roses & Dahlias at the San Diego County Fair - FREE Zoom Class

Want to learn how to turn your garden blooms into award-winning entries? Join for a free 1-hour Zoom class and discover how to successfully exhibit roses and dahlias at the San Diego County Fair. You’ll learn the essential rules, helpful tools, and simple techniques needed to compete, even as a novice. While roses and dahlias have a few differences, many of the exhibiting guidelines overlap, making it easy to learn both at once. With just a bit of effort and the right guidance, you can confidently exhibit alongside experienced competitors. Bring a notebook because you’ll want to take notes! Two sessions are available, offering the same class at different days and times for your convenience:

April 26 at 6pm

May 11 at 12pm

Your host: Beth Van Boxtel has been exhibiting roses since 2017 and earned 50-140 ribbons each summer, as well as a few Best of Day awards. Beth also has experience exhibiting dahlias and understands the subtle differences between the two. Through years of trial, learning, and success, she's developed practical tips and tricks that so you can start strong and improve quickly.

This class is free and open to the public.
